Smoking


Despite the fact that everyone knows that smoking is not healthy, there is a lot of people who ignore the consequences.
Firstly, smoking ruine our health, starting with the small things like loosing sense of smell and taste or not fresh breath, ending with the diseases like lung cancer. Statistically, about half of smokers dies from smoking- related illness. In addition the non-smokers live 10 years longer than persons who smoke.
What is more, you damage the health of others around you. Consequently, the non-smokers are also exposed to negative effects, for example respiratory symptoms such as cougthing and sneezing. After this, the second-hand smoking is especially dangerous for unborn babies or children.
Finally, smoking can affect the pregnancy in many ways, for istance it is connected with pregnancy complications or premature birth. Moreover, the unborn baby can have problems with the development of the brain and respiratory system. Apart from this, the baby is addicted to smoking from the first day of his life.

In short, the smokers are aware of smoking effects and serious diseases that they, non-smokers and children can get, however they still smoke.
