LUNCH IN FRANCE

How lunch in France looks like? What is typical for France, is the fact that generally, French people have two hours lunch break during work. Oftentimes, they start their work at 9 a.m. and finish at 17.p.m. For this reason, they like eat their lunch with they workmates in restaurant. Of course, It isn’t a principle and sometimes they eat baguettes during the work. Therefore, if they have time, they like to order in restaurant. In this case meal can consist of appetizer like salad or soup, than  a meat or fish accompanied with a type of potato and a warm vegetable, followed with a dessert and occasionally a cheese platter. Lunch is often accompanied by wine atlough they have to back to work.

BREAKFAST IN FRANCE

Traditional breakfast in France doesn’t resemble breakfasts in other countries, so don’t expect to find bacon, eggs and sausage. So what actually do the French eat?
Traditional French breakfast consist of bread like farm bread and very popular in France baguettes. They combine it with jam, butter or the both. During special days like Sunday, they often eat freshly baked croissants which they can buy in local bakeries. Children are allowed to eat this croissants filled by chocolate, but adults eat it with jam or dipped in coffee, but they rather don’t eat croissants with butter.
Concerning drinks, it is not surprise that French love coffee. It is the most popular hot drink which go with breakfast, but tea is also commonly served in France. Children, of course, don’t drink coffee, so generally they drink fruit juice.
Additionally, they  eat yoghurts or fresh fruits for breakfast, but 3-4 slices it is enough for them.

This difference between France and England, for example, probably is the result of different climate. Personally I like eat bread with jam and coffee as a breakfast, but in this case I’m hungry after short time.

SPRING!

Yesterday we had first day of spring. J It is a wonderful period when all world wakes up. Flowers are blooming and we have impression that all world is positive, we are looking at the world through rose- coloured glasses. Of course, spring it is a good time to realize ours resolutions, to start a new things and above all, to start play sports like running and skating. Finally, we can ride a bicycle, what I like seriously. Unfortunately we have to forget about winter sports like skating and snowboarding. Concerning the mountains, only walking tours without skiing remain. Children can be disappointed that there is no more snow, but knowing our climate.. we can see sometimes snow during Easter, so who knows !
